Skin Whitening Care

What are the dangers of skin whitening?

When purchasing skin whitening products, it is important to know the ingredients used and if it is approved by the authorities in their respective countries. Counterfeit skin whitening products have been the cause of many individual's skin problems and some even get worse enough to merit a trip to the hospital, skin cancer is also not unheard of. Counterfeit skin whitening products may cause skin cancer. Avoid these at all costs.

Hydroquinone for skin whitening
Hydroquinone is a drug that is used for treating different types of medical conditions, they should only be used as skin whitening care when adviced by a doctor. You can only get skin whitening products with 4% or more hydroquineone if you have a perscription.

Some skin whitening care products contain a tiny dose of hydroquinone and have been deemed by the government as safe for daily use (2% or less). If your skin is sensitive, remember to dilute the solution with a little bit of water just to make it less concentrated and bearable on your skin.

What is skin whitening care?

Skin whitening care is not just about lightening or whitening your skin, it's about evening out your overall skin color. Also removing or reducing skin blemishes or unwanted freckles, markings, discolorations. The goal of most people when applying skin whitening care products is to turn dark or tanned skin into lighter or whiter skin color. The real point of skin whitening care is to have a better overall color, not tanned one place, dark or white the other. What we want is to have nice even skin tone, and remove all the uneven black or white patches in our bodies. With skin whitening care products, we can do just that. Some people wonder if purchasing skin whitening products means that they hate their own color or race, that is in my opinion taking it too far to call it self hate. Does skin whitening products promote self hate or anti black, tan or dark skinned races? Of course not, there are skin whitening care products for all skin types, sorry for repeating it alot, skin whitening care's goal is to have an even body color. Having even skin color is attractive to most people, and can boost their self confidence alot.

Why Should I use Skin Whitening Care Products?

Sometimes when we grow old or maybe it comes naturally with your genes, our skin color on different parts of our body changes. You skin may have lost it's glow and became dull looking, or darker at some parts. Maybe lost it's clarity or gained blemishes you want to get rid off. Maybe you've been exposed to the sun longer than you should, for a considerable amount of time. There are lots of factors that affect our skin, and these can easily be remedied by applying skin whitening products to those areas you want to even out. There are some skin whitening products designed for the rest of your body, to get you whiter overall. This is commonly used by celebs, one of the most famous celebs that people question whether or not she uses skin whitening products is Beyoncé.

Here are two different pictures of Beyoncé, one earlier in her career and one when she got famous. You be the judge.

Is Skin Whitening Care Dangerous?

If you purchase legit skin whitening products, then no it is not. No matter what your purpose is for buying skin whitening products, there will never be any dangers to you if you buy from trusted brands online, or from a dermatologist or any other legit source of skin whitening products. You could buy skin whitening products for the purpose of evening out your skin tone, or to whitening your skin by a few shades, as long as you purchase legit skin whitening products you wont need to fear anything. Just remember 2% or less hydroquinone skin whitening products are the safe, and regulated by the government types of skin whitenin care products, while those over 4% need perscriptions. So when someone tries to sell you something online and says they have skin whiteing products with 4% or more, you know that it is fake, stolen, and they are trying to scam you out of your money.

Can I make my own skin whitening products at home?

No, unless you purchased a skin whitening product kit that gives you specific instructions and ingredients to make it, DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN CONCOCTIONS!!

There are some skin whitening companies that sell kits, they are usually cheaper, but not a lot of them are effective. Never experiment yourself and make your own whitening creams, lotions or anything else that could endanger your skin.

Here's a video on the dangers of skin whitening.
If you notice the older woman who said she has been using it for 10 years, this is what will happen to your skin when you use ineffective, fake or homemade products. It won't only not work, it will damage and make your skin sensitive. Fake skin whitening products may even give you "cracks" on your face. They use creams with steroids, which gives a whitening side effect, along with other bad side effects like glaucoma(if creams or lotions are applied to the face), diabetes and high blood pressure. So avoid fake skin whitening products and products with steroids that have not passed testing. If you know a skin whitening product require prescriptions DO NOT BUY IT WITHOUT ONE. This is what the old lady in this video is doing, buying prescription skin whitening products illegally.

So please do not buy anything that you think is fake, stolen, or prescription only. Check out the links in this blog for quality skin whitening products, reviews and other skin whitening articles.

Skin whitening products reviews

Soap (supplement skin lightener)
To start out, we'll begin with the most common of all the skin whitening products, the soap.
There are various kinds of skin whitening products, but the soap is possibly the most cheap, common, and safest of all. Some of the most effective lightening soaps are glutathione soap, papaya extract, and kojic acid soaps.

These types of skin whitening products are typically used for evening out dark spots in our bodies. People who use these skin lightening products are usually people who want to lighten their underarms, or thighs. Skin whitening soaps are not very effective at dramatically changing your skin tone, but rather they are more of a supplement for other skin whitening products such as skin whitening creams or pills.

The main use of this skin whitening product is to help maintain and keep even your skin tone once you have achieved your desired whiteness level with a more powerful skin lightening product. If however you are already naturally light skinned, then this is suitable for daily maintenance. I'm telling you now that if you are dark skinned, you won't see a dramatic change as this was meant to be a supplement whitener, not something to change your skin tone in an instant. If someone tells you this type of skin whitening product will have great effects and dramatically change your skin tone, they are lying and are just trying to sales talk you.

Skin Whitening Creams
Next skin whitening product would be skin whitening creams, which are a world away from soaps. Not saying soaps are ineffective, just that they were meant to be used as day to day supplement skin lighteners, unlike creams.

The different types of skin whitening creams range from full body skin whitening creams, to creams used for specific body parts. There are skin whitening crems specifically made for underarms, thighs, and necks, which are perfect for people that only want to even out their skin tone. On the other hand, there are full body multipurpose skin lightening creams, which you apply everywhere. Obviously those will cost alot more than the specific body part creams.

This is where the supplemental skin whitening products come to play. When using skin whitening creams as your main whitener, using something like glutathione soap, or kojic acid soap right before you apply the skin whitening cream will yeild a better result. Do not do this the other way around and apply cream right before or a few hours before a bath. I recommend giving the crema at least 4 hours to sink in, which means the most efficient time to apply the cream is after your nightly bath before you sleep, or right after you dry off from your morning bath before school or work.

Glutathione
There are so many products now using glutathione, the master antioxidant, because of it's amazing qualities. It's original purpose is to boost your system and help protect your body. Recently it was discovered that it had a side effect, which is what we want, whitening.

Glutathione can be applied in several ways, and what I would recommend most for people that just want to lighten up a few shades is glutathione pills or glutathione lozenges. Lozenges are more effective as you melt them in your mouth. Your body will absorb more glutathion through your gums, because once you swallow glutathione pills they have to pass through your digestive system, which means less gluthathion intake.

Because of the effectiveness of gluthathione, we can see them in almost every skin whitening product now. There is also a glutathione soap, and a glutathione spray. They spray is just like cream, but I would not recommend it over the cream because there are some creams that are very effective and efficient. It's kind of hard to control the amount you spray, but if you're comfortable with this, they are roughly the same. The soap I would recommend over kojic acid soap, as the kojic acid really itches when you are not used to it.

The last and final method of application of glutathion is through injection. I DO NOT recommend this as a home whitening treatment. This is only for those that know REPUTABLE AND QUALIFED dermatologists or professionals that can administer the shot. If you are not one of them(people who have qualifed contacts), skip this part and head on to the pills.

This is by far my favorite. The effects are crazy. You might not even believe it at first, but it whitens skin THAT much. The results are fast, and very pleasing to the eye. This not only makes you white in an extremely short period, it also evens out the skin tone. Downside to this is you have to shell out a lot of cash for glutathione injections. But if you know a qualified, reputable, and HONEST dermatologist, you need to test this for yourself.

Skin Whitening Pills
Another "main" skin lightening product is the pill. I call the pill a "main" skin lightener, like the skin lightening cream, is because these two alone can give you amazing results. You can have one main whitener along with a supplement, soaps or sprays, to add to your daily Skin Whitening Productswhitening routine.

With these whitening pills, the visible effects take longer than the skin whitening creams, but so does the longevity of the effects. For faster whitening, I would recommend going with the cream + soaps. But if you're okay with waiting an additional month or two I would suggest going with the whitening pills, as the whitening effect lasts longer especially when supplemented with other skin whitening products.

What I used to do, before I took shots, is actually use all three skin whitening products. Yes, I used all three, you can imagine how white I got after that. I used pills before I ate a meal, creams before leaving home and before going to bed. Lightening soap I used every time I took a bath, and I had a separate lightening soap especially made for the facial wash that I took with me in the office. I use very light make up because my skin already is pale and fair.

It may sound overkill, but I do enjoy being as pale as the moon. This is too much for some I know, that why I only recommend 1 "main" whitening plus a supplement of your choice. For those who want to be as pale as they can get, do what I did, 2 mains and a supplement skin lightener. There are some skin whitening product links in this blog, check them out if you are interested. I do not put any links to skin whitening products that are harmful, fake, or have low standards. I only want the best for my skin, and I'm sure you do aswell. Again, stay away from fakers, conterfeiters and scammers. You'll know they are scamming if the price is too good to be true.

After all, healthy skin is always better than whiter skin.

Different Methods to Help Whiten Skin

There are various ways to help whiten your skin. In this guide I'll briefly explain each method, and go more in depth on each method in their individual posts. This article will just mention all the methods that are readily available for you to use. We'll start out with the most common forms of skin whitening.

Most common ways of skin whitening

Warning: Do not ever trust imitation brands or brands that are simply unheard of when taking pills, applying cream, or having injections done. Do not risk your health because you want to save a little bit of money on skin whitening products. It's not worth it and you may not only end up with an ineffective product, you might risk getting skin disease just because you did not research your skin whitening product. Thorough research is essential before considering anything that needs to be applied to your body, such as skin whitening products especially skin whitening products taken orally or injected. Stay away from counterfeits, and fake non qualified dermatologist when taking skin whitening treatments.

Skin Whitening Pills
One of the most common ways in whitening your skin is by using Skin Whitening pills. The most common ingredient in these pills are glutathione. It involves "overdosing" your body on glutathione to gain it's side effect, which would be whiter/paler skin. Effects are visible only after six months for tanned skin tones, three months for naturally light skin, and may even take up to a year for dark skin to turn pale. It whitens skin from the inside out and will take time to show results. A faster way would be to have skin whitening injections, where glutathione is injected directly. Whitening pills often involve consuming Vitamin C along with the glutathione pills, usually Vitamin C is double the dosage of Glutathione.

Skin Whitening Cream
Another common way of whitening your skin is by using skin whitening creams. Most skin whitening creams sold are not only used to give you fairer and whiter skin, they usually have the anti aging mixture added in, which are more costly but most efficient. When applying creams, you would not want to apply more than one at once, so a multipurpose skin whitening cream will be better than using two creams as this might cause complications. Most new creams have incorporated the powerful effects of glutathione in it, so take this in mind when looking for which skin whitening cream you are going to purchase.

Skin Whitening Soap
Possibly the most common, cheapest alternative to getting fairer and even skin color is Skin Whitening Soap. There is a wide range of skin whitening products for this method. Some of the most popular skin whitening soaps are kojic acid, and glutathione soap. Like most topical skin whitening methods, skin whitening soaps are not as permanent as glutathione skin whitening pills or glutathione skin whitening injections. In most cases, for those individuals that truly want to have whiter and fairer skin, skin whitening soap is just a supplement for another skin whitening treatment, such as skin whitening creams or pills.

Skin Whitening Injections
One of the recent, and most effective, ways of skin whitening is by getting injections of Glutathione or Vitamin C. Skin Whitening Injections are shots that are taken intravenously, sometimes the shot is just glutathione, but other times they include vitamin C.

Warning: Do NOT take skin whitening injections from non-qualified beauticians. ALWAYS look for a reputable, qualified dermatologist or professional. NEVER risk getting injections from just anybody, no matter what they promise you. Skin whitening injections can be dangerous if taken from a non-qualified person. If you've purchased any skin whitening injections, get a registered nurse or a doctor to administer the shot for you. NEVER DO THIS BY YOURSELF.

Skin Bleaching
Offered by most dermatologists, skin bleaching costs a lot more but it the quickest way to whiten skin. This needs to be done at intervals, decided upon by your dermatologist, to maintain the whiteness of your skin. Do not go to non qualified dermatologists as this can cause serious skin damage if done wrong. I hate to sound like a broken record, but avoid any counterfeit or unkown "skin bleaching products". This may cause allergies, or even permanently damage your skin causing uneven coloration. Always consult with your dermatologist when skin bleaching, or glutathione injections are involved.

Glutathione Spray
Another method of glutathione application. This powerful antioxidant is so popular, that various applications have come about. Although more expensive than Glutathione soap, this method is more effective than soap as the body absorbs it better than it does with glutathione soap.

Glutathione that melts in your mouth
(Glutathione Lozenge)
There is a new type of glutathione lozenge that melts in your mouth. This is because by melting this glutathione lozenge, which is of course flavored, it will cause your body to absorb it more through your gums and cheeks than the ordinary pills that you swallow. Those that you swallow will require higher dosages of glutathione to see it take more effects because this passes through your digestive system, and some of the glutathione will get destroyed in the process. This is one of the more effective oral skin whitening products available at affordable prices.

Remember not to put whiter skin before your health, AVOID ALL COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS. Do not risk your health. Healthy skin is always better than whiter skin.
